Past Due Update

Thursday, April 28th, 2005

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog…my bad! Today is 36 weeks for Steph’s pregnancy, and yes, she’s big. Don’t tell her I said that.

So what’s going on. I did the 12.6 mile Berry Creek Falls hike on Apr 17. I wasn’t really sore but my joints definitely felt old. Yikes! Old?!? Uh-oh…no I’m not old. Well, on the evening of Apr 18, I played soccer…pulled my quad muscle and had minor muscle pulls of my glute and groin. Yep, I’m old :-( On the evening of Apr 16, Steph, her parents, her sister, and I spent the evening drinking and eating at the Cliff House. What an awesome place. Wonderful views and sunsets! Well, actually the sunset was fogged in…but we still enjoyed the views. They have a bistro with plenty of window seating. We enjoyed an Au Bon Climat Chardonnay and Pinot. Great Stuff. Last Friday, Apr 22, the Yahoo Media Ops team spent the day at Muir Woods and the Exploratorium. What fun! We did a nice 3 mile hike up the ocean view trail (don’t let the name fool ya…there is absolutely no ocean view) and then had lunch at the Muir Woods Cafe…not too shabby. We had loads of fun trying to step on chipmunks :-) Later in the afternoon we acted like 3 year olds at the Exploratorium. What a cool place, although I was really tired after being there…it makes you think too much. Check out the latest images Media Ops Team

Scrub A Pup

Scrub A Pup

That’s where I took Lou this weekend. Since the bathroom wasn’t finished and Lou was nice and ripe…I had to do something. Scrub A Pup was the answer. It’s a self service wash facility for dogs. They have full bathtubs that are raised (so you don’t have to bend over). They provide the towels, soap, brushes, and air dryers. Plus the bathtubs have hoses with a spray nozzle attached - much easier than a cup or shoving the poor dog under the bathtub faucet.

I’m sure I’ll go back, but it is easier to clean Lou at home. However, when I go to Scrub A Pup, I clog up their drains…not mine.

Another Bathroom Complete

Sunday, April 3rd, 2005

The main bathroom remodel is now complete (except for a few things they need to do tomorrow). It took 3 weeks to complete and it looks thousands of times better.

The bathroom was stripped down to the studs. Some new features include a ceiling fan and tile. There was no ceiling fan before so the bathroom stayed pretty moist - very unpleasant. Plus it would set off the smoke alarm. The tile is a new addition - before it was linoleum and plastic shower sides. The accessories were mostly obtained from Restoration Hardware while the sink, tub, and toilet were obtained from Home Depot.
