Hi there! I'm not a stalker or anything. I found your blog when I did a Google Image search for the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Expedition Inflatable Kayak. Have you had an opportunity to use it yet? I'm wondering if you could offer some feedback. I had my eye on this one until I went to a free demo event and found the hard plastic kayaks to be much faster. They didn't have this model available for demo - they had a Puffin Saco (foldable) model. I found that I kind of dragged it down in the middle, despite the aluminum "spine" which was possibly what made it feel 'draggy'. I also learned that I need a 'low profile' kayak due to my 'low profile paddling style', otherwise I'm constantly hitting the sides with the paddle. This is all new to me. If you have time - between all your travels & family obligations - could you respond? I would greatly appreciate it. And, once again - I'm not a stalker - but you do have a lovely family ;-) Thanks. /JMS

Yeah, not a good indoor lens...and while it has IS, it would always be best to use with a tripod. I'm looking at the 300mm F4 IS since that would be a sharper lens.

I took some photos with the lens the weekend that I stopped by your house and all of the photos came out terribly. Darn rock gyms are just too dark and too small to setup the tripod. I ended up using my Sigma 24 - 70mm lens and was much happier with the results.

Also, if you do catch the cat...Jake has a funny kink in his tail - almost as if it was slammed in a door when he was a kitten (not sure of the cause - it was like that when we got him).
