So we got our snow…somewhere between 3 and 4 inches. As I was speculating, since it very cold for Seattle (high today at our house was 29), the snow froze into solid ice on the streets and sidewalks. If I had ice skates, I could use them. The streets in West Seattle have been a complete mess all day. The buses didn’t put chains on, so they are getting stuck in the hills all over West Seattle. Cars are crashing into parked cars and buses are crashing into parked cars. We drove down to see Santa and it was definitely slick. Even with AWD, I was sliding at times due to the ice ridges on the road. Anyway, I love every minute of it. It is supposed to be very cold all week with more snow on Wednesday and Thursday.
Here are some photos from last weekend, the snow today, and Santa!
Panorama of the cascades taken from High Point today!
Nate all ready for Santa.
A rare photo of the boys together.
What a ham!
Snow and ice this morning. The road and sidewalk look snow free since the high wind during the night blew it away.
Late last night.
Last weekend at Lincoln Park – throwing rocks in the water.
Late afternoon at Lincoln Park.

BTW, neither kid cried on Santa’s lap. Zach was nervous about sitting on his lap but when asked what he wanted, he responded with ‘Wall-E’! He already has the movie but Santa plans to get him a little Wall-E toy.
Steph is little nervous about her drive in tomorrow, but I think the main roads (especially outside of West Seattle) will be good. Wednesday and Thursday might be a little more sketchy.
