He Walks!

Zach starting walking on August 10th (day late birthday present for daddy). He started with around 4 steps on the 10th and now he’s cruising around pretty well. Here’s a movie.

There were lots of activities this weekend. Paul started Saturday doing 3 hours of volunteer work - digging up blackberry root balls and cutting tree rings at a local park. Actually, it’s not quite a park yet - that’s why Paul was there helping out. Later in the day we went to the ‘Taste of Edmonds’…lame. We left and had a drink at Arnies in Edmonds, and then went down to Bottleworks. We picked up some beers and headed home.

Today I pulled weeds, layed out some bark (yes, the bark that I had shipped up here), and trimmed the ivy and bushes around the house. I had already mowed the lawn yesterday. Then I went for a run at Lincoln Park. After that we had lunch at Elliot Bay Brewing Company and took a stroll at Schmitz Preserve. I then returned to Schmitz Preserve with Lou - for some more strolling and exercise. Steph and Zach took a trip to Target and Trader Joes.
Anyway, Schmitz Preserve was beautiful - a complete oasis in West Seattle.
